- FUL1 and FUL2 do not regulate ethylene biosynthesis but influence ripening in an ethylene-independent manner. FUL1/2 and TOMATO AGAMOUS-LIKE1 regulate different subsets of the known RIN targets, probably in a protein complex with the latter.
[PMID: 23136376] - Data show that APETALA1/fruitfull (AP1/FUL) MADS box genes AP1, TM4 and MBP7 were involved in tomato leaf development and are repressed by lanceolate (LA), which was regulated by miR319.
[PMID: 23771895] - Over-expression of FUL2 resulted in a pointed tip at the blossom end of the fruit, together with a thinner pericarp, reduced stem diameter, and smaller leaves, but no obvious phenotypes resulted from FUL1 over-expression.
[PMID: 24723399] - the FUL1/FUL2 loss-of-function phenotype in co-suppressed plants
