UniProt | INDUCTION: Ethylene induction is completely dependent on a functional ETHYLENE-INSENSITIVE2 (EIN2). Wounding as well as cold stress induction does not require EIN2. Transcripts accumulate strongly in cycloheximide-treated plants, a protein synthesis inhibitor.
