Description |
UniProt | Transcriptional regulator that specifically binds 5'-GATA-3' or 5'-GAT-3' motifs within gene promoters (By similarity). Influences the expression of nuclear encoded chloroplast-targeted genes. Regulates chloroplast development and promotes chlorophyll accumulation. Modulates plant architecture (e.g. height, length and width of leaf blades, and flowering tillers production) and represses tillering, probably by modulating number of cells. Promotes senescence. Involved in grain filling, panicle development and starch production (PubMed:23548780). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9SZI6, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23548780}. |
