Source Description
TAIRmember of Response Regulator: B- Type
UniProtTranscriptional activator that binds specifically to the DNA sequence 5'-[AG]GATT-3'. Functions as a response regulator involved in His-to-Asp phosphorelay signal transduction system. Phosphorylation of the Asp residue in the receiver domain activates the ability of the protein to promote the transcription of target genes. Could directly activate some type-A response regulators in response to cytokinins (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.

  1. the initial 45 residues are critical for the inhibitory role of the receiver domain to the effector domain in ARR18
    [PMID: 22293116]
  2. ARR18 acts as a transcriptional regulator in plant cells, forms homodimers and positively regulates cytokinin responses.
    [PMID: 22775331]
  3. ARR18 interaction negatively interferes with the transcriptional activity of bZIP63 on the PDH1 promoter.
